AIMPRESS and TalkGuests.com specialize in non-fiction authors, whose works deliver intriguing, controversial, fascinating and informative ideas, tools, opinions, or a new and different approach to an old topic. If an author is an expert in his or her field, many talk and news programs will schedule interviews and appearances, especially if the author can contribute to working news stories.
Although we regularly place feature articles and reviews in major print media, we have found that our results with local, regional and national news and talk [radio & TV] programming is where we shine for our clients. As we book interviews and appearances, clients are provided a 'booking log,' (see examples ).
The success of your campaign is our primary focus. It is our AIM to garner the greatest amount of publicity, at the lowest possible cost, resulting in the maximum amount of exposure & book sales. We have taken authors to best-sell status, and our media bookings regularly result in thousands of books sold.
If you are in the early stages of your book campaign, and are not represented by a literary agent, we may be able to help you secure formal representation, which could then result in securing a major trade publisher. We work with some of the top literary agents in the country and we will be pleased to assist you.
Every author and book requires a different level of appeal to the media, and AIM targets and packages each author and their book with media outlets which will draw the most effective response for the author & topic. We highly recommend a campaign that is no shorter than 90-days, and our minimum term is 60-days. A sixty day campaign will also drawn significant results. Media Interviews & Appearances
AIM has established relationships with hundreds of radio and television talk shows, as well as assignment editors and producers with major newspapers, TV news programs & magazines, television & cable networks and syndicated news bureaus. Some clients may be easier and more appropriately marketed to the TV or radio talk show market, while others may be best marketed to print media. Still others may be appealing to network news programs and news panels. It is rare that an author is marketable to all forms of media.
Design a Detaailed Press Package
AIM has become known for its "show piece" press kits, both in print and on the Internet (recent IPK). All work is produced and printed on-premise, and press kits include an author and book bio, along with book reviews and recent newspaper and magazine articles and media Q & A. Print-style press kits are packaged in a customized, linen press jacket. Cover artwork normally includes photoscan of book cover and project-related text copy. Whenever possible we send media outlets your Internet or electronic press kit, which we design and include on our web site, which is not only convenient, but the most cost effective for our clients.
Your Web Site Listing & the AIM ' Internet Press Kit
AIM is an innovator in the use of Internet [Electronic] Press Kits, and all clients are listed on the AIM web site at no additional cost. Please review one of our current 'on-line' Press Kits (current IPK) . These IPK's save our clients print costs and are growing in popularity with the media, for convenience and immediacy. AIM also uses these IPK's for "Internet Media Blasts" to news desks, print and TV editors, radio and TV talk show producers at no additional cost. All IPK listings include the same or similar information which appears in a printed press kit (press release, bio of author, interview talk points, book excerpts, etc.). The IPK also provides hotlinks to your web site or to your AMAZON.COM listing.
Our sister organization, TalkGuests.com, provides our E-blast service, where your press package is distributed to more than 2,800 media outlets worldwide who subscribe to the TalkGuests.Com guest/contributor service. We receive requests from news and talk media on a daily basis to provide them with guests and contributors to working news stories. Here is an IPK that garnered the attention of CBS 60-Minutes. In February of 2007 60-Minutes will be airing a complete segment on their award-winning news magazine (Click Here).
AIM maintains an extensive data base, and works with local as well as major market and national (syndicated) media outlets, as well as the news desks of all major news bureaus and television networks. We also work with many Internet news bureaus and media service providers.
